Hafa Adai!!! Guam Vacay!!!

Rainy season is fast approaching here in Pinas and as we bid goodbye to summer let me reminisce our 6 days vacation in Guam last month.
It was an official trip for hubby but for me and Rania it was a fun summer vacation! yihaaaaaaaa!

It was all our first time to visit this beautiful Island in Micronesia. The place is very peaceful, laid back and very relaxing. A great place for those who love SEA, SUN and  SAND. A haven for  people who enjoy diving, snorkelling, parasailing, jet ski etc.

Guam being part of the United States  (US) territory, visitors are required to have a US VISA. Although visa waiver is  issued to passport holders from Australia, United Kingdom, Hongkong, Japan, Nauru, New Zealand, Republic of Korea, Papua New Guinea, Malaysia and Taiwan.

THINGS TO DO:
A. Underwaterworld Aquarium
If you're traveling with kids or toddlers, a visit to the Underwaterworld Guam is a "must". Actually, there are very few places to explore for kids  aside from swimming and this aquarium because the rest of the activities would be for adults.

Hubby and Rania are both excited to see what's inside!!

Huge Stingray!

Honestly, I've seen/visited different aquariums from other countries like Sentosa Underwaterworld in Singapore...Seaworld in Orlando, Florida...Seaworld in Bangkok, Thailand and Philippines very own Manila Ocean Park...and based on my personal experienced this Aquarium has a lot to improve. Me and hubby were bit disappointed coz we find it very small. Another thing, the staff were not too accommodating both at the ticket counter and the souvenir shop.Anyway, here is the admission fee for adult and child.

Adult
$20
Child (3-12 yrs. old)
$12
You can also check their official site: UnderWaterWorld Guam

B. Two Lovers Point
Do you want to see a breathtaking view of the Philippine Sea? Visit the Two Lovers Point and  enjoy the breeze and the view.
Kiosks and souvenir shops can be found within the park.

 THE LEGEND:
The legend tells of two lovers who, forbidden from being together in life, leaped to their deaths from the cliffside so they could be together in eternity.

 At Two Lovers Point
Park Admission:   $3 per person (children 6 and under are free)

C. Shopping: There are several shopping malls, retail outlet and flea market in the Island. Here are some of the shopping places i visited during our stay.
  • DFS Galleria ~ A high end shopping mall located in the heart of the shopping district in Tamuning, Guam. From Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Burberry, Prada, Dior etc. So, prepare your cash and card for some serious shopping!
  •  Micronesia Mall

  • Guam Premium Outlet (GPO ) ~ A totally different Premium Outlet! They don't have luxury/high end brands just like in mainland US and in Europe.

  • Macy's
Do check out their official site fort he complete listing of their shopping malls etc.

C. Dining/ Restaurants: Guam offers a wide range of restaurants to choose from. American, Japanese, Korean and Chinese restaurants are the most common.
  • Planet Hollywood ~ good food and great service!
  • Hard Rock Cafe ~ it is located inside the Plaza Mall

  •  Yellow Cab Pizza

D. Accommodation: Hilton Guam Resort and Spa

We really had a great stay here at Hilton Guam. The room is so spacious..fluffy pillows and very comfortable bed with spotless clean linens and odorless bathroom. Breakfast buffet was really great and yummy with lots of food to choose from. Their staff at the reception desk, restaurant and pool area  are all very accommodating..i guess dahil most of them are Pinoy! service at its best!

What i really like the most is their restaurant which has a special area for families with children or toddlers. They have an adjacent play area for kiddos so, parents or guardian will enjoy their breakfast or lunch without sacrificing the safety of their kids. Rania had a great time watching cartoons and playing with other kids habang kumakain lang kami ni hubby hehehe

The infinity pool is a blast! they also have kiddie pool  and pools with slides. The hotel is beachfront though the beach is not too accessbile from the hotel..as in yung paglabas mo di ka pwede na maglakad ka at mag swimming agad..siguro 500meters away pa sya. Although all in all super ganda sya at would definitely consider to stay here again if we plan to visit Guam in the future

Look at my Princess..she enjoyed the pool and the slide!

I do hope you find something helpful lalo na sa mga pupunta ng Guam!!

X'cess:
