Trip to Budapest, Hungary

We spent about a week in Budapest..another official trip for hubby and as usual, a vacation for me and Rania..yihaaaa! Sabi nga ni hubby..buntot nya daw kami..I AGREE!!!

 Overlooking the Pest Side

We visited the capital city, Budapest (as local pronounced it "Budapesht") A beautiful city with so many things to offer..history, good food, beautiful sights, shopping etc.We really enjoyed our stay here although we lost our luggage's at the Budapest airport (or should i say our luggage's were left in Rome) grrrrrrrrr!
Good thing that Rania's basic necessities like milk, medicines, few clothing's, diaper and bottles were with me in my hand carry and few clothes, toiletries and undergarments of me and hubby were also there. Wew! Lucky! lucky!
The funny thing is that, it's like a daily/usual thing for Budapest airport to have this kind of lost luggage incidents. Well, as per the front desk staff of the hotel were we stayed "lost luggage" happens 3 to 4 times a week at the airport and  this is nothing new to them. Anyway, as the story goes, we were advised that our luggage's "might" arrived that night (no assurance) and so we waited hoping that it will come on time. Gee! the night passed and the morning has come..no news yet!!!!!!!!!!!!! Honestly, we cant do anything about it but to wait and wait and wait.
Another day has almost passed and no news yet! we were forced to buy extra clothing for me and hubby. And the worst part of it..hubby attended the conference wearing jeans and polo shirt! It's not a bad thing though coz he wasn't the only one wearing jeans and polo shirt! hahaha..the main speaker was also dressed the same way...and guess why????? He also lost his luggage during his connecting flight from Frankfurt to Budapest.
Just to cut the story short, we got a call almost 11 midnight and was informed our luggage's arrived at the airport. We were asked if we want it to be delivered to us (the following morning) or pick it up that night. Hubby didn't waste anytime and went straight to the airport to get it himself. Wow! what an experienced!

Here are some of the photos that I took during our trip..enjoy!
